Lisa and the Devil vs. The House of Exorcism!!! What's the difference???!

Question: I really get a kick out of "The Exorcist" rip-offs an knock-offs, and I have recently gone on a search to find them all, an watch them; I recently came across two movies, directeed by some guy named Marios Bava, called Lisa and the Devil and The House of Exorcism. Are these two films the same, or is one a sequel to the othere???

...Euro cult director Mario Bava's "Lisa & the Devil" was reportedly deemed upon release, a financial disaster, despite it's very compelling, surreal and horrific moodiness; a couple of years later, in response to the commercial and financial success of "The Exorcist", the producers of "Lisa..." recut and restructured the film, reshot some of the scenes to emulate some of those in "The Exorcist", added Robert Alda to the cast (...as a faltering and compassionate priest), and retitled the film as "The House of Exorcism"...

...as a result of these changes, the film became a world-wide commercial success, and garnished it's own respectable (...albeit trashy and grindhouse-like) reputation, outside of the obvious influence and inspiration of "The Exorcist"; in my opinion, the recut version is definitely far and above, the better film...
