No. I used to think it was and now I have a bunch of dvd's that I never watch. We either rent from a video store or watch movies on the movie channels that are on cable.

Either way is good. I have over 600 dvds and there is no way that I can afford to up-grade them all. As a matter of fact I can gurantee you that if I was going to replace them I would only be able to replace about half of them as the other half are hard to find ones. I think the Blu-Ray players will also play DVD plus if not then you can always find the players used and stuff.
