Name of sci fi series not on now - late 90's early 200x?!
Question: There was a sci-fi series on late 90's early 2000 I think. Based on soldiers fighting aliens, on different planets. Started with a group of humans going off to colonise another planet, and they got killed or captured by Aliens earth did not know about.
Story was about space marines/troopers I think, going to fight these aliens, cannot remember their names either, film was not Startship troopers. Revolved round a team of men and women. One of the guys was called a Tank as he was grown in a tank, he was a bit of an outcast. They landed on the planets in drop ships and a lot of the action was when it was dark. Aliens were humanoid and you never really saw them much, only their outlines or shadows.
One of the members of the team had with him a picture of his girlfriend who was on the original ship which went missing, and it was a sort of video photo.
Was a US series that ran for about a yr or so.
I cannot remember the name its driving me mad have searched on net but no joy.

I know the sci-fi series you are talking about, but for the life of me I can't remember the name.
For the past 20 mins I have been looking on the Net, with no luck. Now it is really bugging me, too.
I remember the guy called Tank, who was an outcast from the crew.
Gonna keep an eye on this question in the hope someone remembers the title.
