I believed that Transformers had the best visual effects...
Maybe they won because The Golden Compass was based on a classic series of books...I was very surprised.
Probably because of the movie casting. I didn't see anything visually impressive with either movies. That's life.
yeah i completly agree .i dont even see a very unique cgi in that film it should be pirates or transformers considering the very real robots fighting each other it looks very real and very unique one of a kind and also the cgi elements of davy jones and his crew the maelstorn battle sequences look the water effects it looks very cool.the golden compass should have never have that award that bear it's bullshit
