Answers: He was quite chilling in 'Road to Perdition'. Thats not my fave btw
The classic Cool Hand Luke, it in my opinion was his greatest role.
I've always been a fan of Cool Hand Luke, but I have to admit that's about the only thing that comes to mind when someone mentiones Paul Newman other than salad dressing.
I love him in 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof' and 'Cool Hand Luke' I don't know objectively what his best role has been but those two top my poll. This could possibly be because he is unbelievably hot in them... I also really love 'The Sting' but he's not really in it that much - it's mostly Redford.
The Verdict was a good one, but i always gravitate back to Cool hand Luke
My favorite will always be "The Verdict." He was positively brilliant.
i liked him in 'the hudsucker proxy'
His best role ever? The role of chef and making a superb range of Salad dressings and donating all proceeds to charity.
You can't get better than that! xx
He has had plenty good ones but I think "The Verdict" was his best performance ever.
Cool Hand Luke...just saw it for the first time.....amazing.
Sorry, I can't choose just one. I narrowed it down to 10, but there are just too many good ones:
Cood Hand Luke
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
Hud
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
The Sting
Fort Apache the Bronx
Absence of Malice
The Verdict
Mr. & Mrs. Bridge
The Color of Money
"The Hustler" and "The Verdict"
