Which of this year's Oscar nominated movies has the potential to be a timele!

Question: Why?

Answers: Why?

I'd have to go with "There Will Be Blood". It really had it all in that it was epic, the cinematography was amazing. The experimental soundtrack with the unnerving with drones, it was groundbreaking (and criminally overlooked by the Academy awards, Johnny Greenwood of radiohead did a great job).

The themes dealt with are very of our times as the subjects of oil, capitalism and religion collide at each other with a ferocious intensity. It will be seen in many years to come again and again.

These are just my opinions though, obviously the academy thought different giving the Oscar to No Country For Old Men, which I thought was good and although I am a huge fan of their work, I was a little slow at a few points. I miss a little bit of the Cohen mad youthful streak shown in Raising Arizona and the glimmer in O Brother, Where Art Thou where the pace is at times out of control.

Thinking about it There will be Blood and No Country For Old Men should have had a longer third act and carried on little further with their stories, or maybe I just didn't want them to end.

But as there will be Blood goes down as a timeless classic of the grand cinema variety, I will always have a place in my heart for Juno and the ramblings of a clever little 16 year old who is just to smart and in too much of a rush for her own good. Thats going to be a classic that will make it into my film collection.

No Country for Old Men - One of the best movies I've seen in a really long time and the acting and directing was superb.

I would say 'la vie en rose', we will be taking about it for many years to come for those who admired Edith Pfiaf.
She was to music what Frida Khalo was to painting.
