Wood & her dubber, Nixon were played & deceived through the entire production. After it was over, of course Wood would be hurt & angry as anyone would be who's been so deceived.

I always thought I liked Natlalie the best, then you read something like that above & realize, they both did not get the full credit they deserved.
I'll vote Marni Nixon. She had it all to do, make up for all the shortcomings & inadequencies of Wood, & get not one credit.
I've lived through a similar situation with a person myself .It is very difficult to deal with when you know that you could both have been very happy if given it a try.I'm sure it made them both feel inadequate.
I believe they should have cast only Natalie as Natalie, & not hurt that poor woman. I'm sure that ONE woman could've taken care of that one part without outside help.
It would have taken a real man to apologize to those women.And we know that don't we? Resentment, a thing of the past! One has to each day "turn the page"- do one day at a time.
