What's the name of this foreign language film?!
Question: I think it might be belgian or dutch, it is about a woman's life and starts when she is a little girl and ends when she is old and dying in her bed happy with all her family around her. I think there was also a mad lady in the film who howled at the moon. Also, inanimate objects became animated on occassions (I remember a angel statue coming to life and tapping the girl with its wing). What film is this? It's driving me mad!

It sounds like Antonia's Line, a marvellous Dutch film. It's a very anti-war, pro-feminist, humanist film. Like any foreign film, watch it with subtitles, not dubbed, to get the nuances of the actors speaking in their own language.
