Mad Max (The Road Warrior)?!

Question: Watched this movie last night and think it is a real classic.
Just loved the part played by the feral kid and
Mel Gibson himself hardly said anything throughout this great
futuristic movie. I enjoyed it more than when I first saw it in the early 80's. Can't work out why towards the end the "fuel truck" driven by Mad Max did a U Turn. Anyone know????

i think he did it as a selfless act knowing that if he veered away he could save the others. he didn't realise that the truck was full of sand and was a decoy so he wanted to lead the bikers away.

ps - the feral kid is a guy called emil minty. he is now a jeweler who works in sydney.

then you would have seen spence in a finalist trpofest film this year. he's hard to miss eh? Report It

  • Because Mad Max was the decoy so the others could get away

You're right, it is a classic. I loved that one better than the first one (although that one was good too). I haven't seen the movie in a while, so I don't really know why he does that, but thanks to your question, I'm going to watch it again! I loved Mel Gibson in this movie. The scenery and chases were raw and original.

    I gave the film 3 1/2 stars.

i don`t htink it had any-thing to do with the `fuel truck` , it was Max`s final Statement , regarding the way that the World and Civilisation had become "Lost"...!
by creating the Distraction , He allowed others that He regarded as more Civilised , the Opportunity to.....Rebuild!

cast your mind back to: Tess and Sprog!
forget Goose and Toe-cutter and Jimmy....remember Tess and Sprog....that`s where Max became "Warrior".
