Why does everybody think Hostel is such a gory movie????!

theres like 2 scenes were blood is spilled and such, but i think its 100% complete BS tht ppl put this on their goriest movies ever list. im sorry, this movie wasnt gory at all. not one bit.
same with saw 1 and 2, 3 was gory but not tht much. 1 and 2 WERE NOT gory

I agree- I was very disappointed in Hostel. It was supposed to be some huge gore-fest and even the two scenes you mentioned were pretty tame. Saw was better and far more creative. I enjoyed all four of them! Maybe we're just sick individuals who crave bloodbaths... dunno.

It's a matter of opinion and gore tolerance. There are those with weak stomachs to any variety of gore. Some people would feel sick just from hearing descriptions of what happens in the Saw films.
Kudos to you for being able to take what blood and gore there is in those films. But to you, what you see as a little spilt blood and not a lot of gore might look like a bloodbath to someone else.
I don't think Hostel was gory at all. They didn't even show anything, the camera panned away when the finger was being chopped off. I like the Saw movies better because they actually show whats happening unlike in Hostel
