TITLE of this MOVIE?!

Question: In this movie,a richman is handicapped (i think he had a car accident in the snow), he lives in a castle, a very isolated place; no neighbors, i think his wife went to town for something (maybe business). He is put in the care of this woman, who beats him, starves him and almost killed him in the end.
He finally escaped and in the last scene, he's shown eating in resturaunt in town with his friends, then a waitress comes and he remembers (a flashback )the horrible lady and thinks the waitress is the horrible lady.

it sounds like stephen king's misery.

I believe you're thinking of 'Ferris Beuler's Day Off'

Sounds like "Misery". It's a Stephen King book made into a movie. Stars James Caan and Kathy Bates. Is that the one?

i don't think it's misery from your description, but it sounds similar

    Misery.

yeah thats most definely misery with kathy bates and james khan he is a writer who gets in a wreck they think he dies but this nut job gragged him from the wreck and holds him hostage

Has to be Misery. AT&T is running an ad campaign using a scene from there. If you happen to catch that commercial, it should clear things up. PS AT&T sucks!

Part of it sounds like Misery like everyone else has said so far. I think maybe you're mixing a couple of movies together. In Misery James Caan plays a writer who goes to his cabin to finish a book. Kathy Bates is an obssed fan with his serial character Misery. When he says that Misery dies in his new book she tortures him until he re-writes it. Excellent movie adaptation from a Stephen King book. The scene where she smashes his ankels (DirecTV commercial) is much better than the book where she simply cuts his legs off.

    Misery (1990)
starring Kathy Bates (Best Actress Oscar winner), James Caan, Richard Farnsworth, Frances Sternhagen, Lauren Bacall
    IMDB synopsis:
Novelist Paul Sheldon crashes his car on a snowy Colorado road. He is found by Annie Wilkes, the "number one fan" of Paul's heroine Misery Chastaine. Annie is also somewhat unstable, and Paul finds himself crippled, drugged and at her mercy.
    TRIVIA:
In Stephen King's novel "Misery", Annie cuts off Paul's foot to prevent him from escaping. Screenwriter William Goldman has stated that the reason he decided to adapt the book to film was because of this gruesome scene and the effect it would have on the audience. However, Rob Reiner and Andrew Scheinman's script revision changed the method of torture to Paul getting his ankles broken with a sledgehammer. Goldman was opposed to the change until viewing the film.

After seeing "The Shining" (1980). Rob Reiner was immediately inspired to direct a movie based on a Stephen King novel.

Jack Nicholson was offered the role of Paul Sheldon but passed because he wasn't sure he wanted to do another movie based on one of Stephen King's novels after what he had experienced with Stanley Kubrick on "The Shining" (1980).
