Need help with movie title....film along the lines of Canterville Ghost but..?!
Question: I remember seeing it around Christmas. Two kids and their mother are contacted by a solicitor of a relative and move into the cottage of a big mansion. They travel in time and see how the fir started and in turn save their relative (like great grandma somebody) the old guy who was losing his mind over grief in the past regained his sanity and gave the kids and their mother the house, property and everything.
Any idea?

I'm not sure either, it does sound maddeningly familiar BUT the film buffs at Internet movie data base have never not being able to answer a Q for me so why not ask there?
