Why are 'pretty boys' so often quite poor actors?!

We can't really judge someone on their acting unless we really know the person.. Watch a low budget movie like "Stay Alive" and then watch a 'pretty boy' actor, I'm sure that 'pretty boy' actor can act better.
Try joining your drama class in school, see it yourself that acting is hard, the actors just make it look so easy and natural.
Are they? I find that a vague term, so I'd love to hear who you have in mind.
I guess they're hired first and foremost for their looks.
Because the girls {And Gay Guys} love them, and will watch movies with them in it even If they suck. They know they're still gonna get cast, so what does it matter if they're good or not?
Also some may just be in it for the attention and girls, and not acting so much, so you'll only see them in mainstream movies, not good ones that get Oscars and such.
But either way I've never actually seen a actor like that.

I don't think they necessarily are - I think that often they aren't given the opportunity to show what they can do and are typecast. The smart ones move out of that as soon as possible.
Matthew McConnaughey is a case in point. He started out as a serious actor in "A Time to Kill" and now he makes date movies. That was a choice he made. Leonardo, Johnny Depp, Matt Damon, George Clooney (when he was young) all made a different choice.
Do not try and tell me, Mr. Bean is not a great actor. Yea, he is a pretty boy. SSssoooo what. Your just jealous. That is quite
a stretch, is it not my friend. LOL
