What is the name of this movie from the 80's?!
Question: I'm trying to think of the name of this movie i saw when I was a kid. Everyone thinks im crazy and the movie doesnt exist. Best i can remember, there was this swimming whole (maybe a pond or an old rock quarry) that this kids thought a monster was in. There was legend that a monster lived in it or something. Turns out the monster ends up being some type of machinery that moves every now and then for some reason. I believe in the very end a huge chunk of meat at the end of a chain (they were using it to try to catch the monster earlier) gets pulled into the water leaving open the possibility of an actual monster. I know this is extremely vague, but I remember this movie, I know I didnt dream it. Any help?

it sounds familiar... i want to say it's a vignette from like creepshow or something like that.

I tried searing IMDB but came up empty. It would help if you could remember an actor from the film then it will be easier to find. It could have been an episode from Amazing Stories, Creepshow or even the "New" Twilight Zone. Good Luck!

Frog Dreaming must be the international title, but yeah, you're talking about "The Quest" with Henry Thomas. I think it came out in 1986.
it wasn't one of the pumpkin heads 1 2 or 3 was it. it sounds real familiar. like the monster was like an abused child or something.
