What's the title of this movie aired on television in the 1970's?!

Question: A pre-teen boy and his European parents live in Africa: the parents are diplomates. One day, after playing outside, the boy returns home to find his family's condo destroyed by a terrorist bomb. His parents are dead. He has no relatives and no one to turn to for help.
He sets out on his own. The bulk of the movie depicts his lonely travels and various individuals he encounters. Some try to help him.
Near the end of the film, he is befriended by a big-game hunter, and he seems to be adapting well to his new life with this father figure.
The final scenes introduce the boy's loving aunt, who at long last has found the boy after many months and many miles of diligent searching.
I watched this movie once on television in about 1976. I don't know if it was made for television or if it was a tv broadcast of a major motion picture. My guess is it was a mmp from the late 1960's or early 1970's.

A Boy Ten Feet Tall (1963)
aka Sammy Going South
starring Fergus McClelland as Sammy, Edward G. Robinson, Constance Cummings, Harry H. Corbett, Paul Stassino, Zia Mohyeddin, Orlando Martins, Zena Walker, Jack Gwillim, Patricia Donahue, Marne Maitland
IMDB synopsis:
A young boy living in Port Said, Egypt, narrowly escapes a bomb blast that destroys the apartment block where he lives. After discovering that both his parents were killed in the explosion, he decides to travel (on foot) to Durban, South Africa, to be with his only living relative, an aunt. During his 4500 mile journey across Africa, he has many adventures including a first-hand experience with the slave trade and living for a time with a band of poachers and criminals. After several months of travel, he finally arrives at his destination.

The screenplay is adapted from W.H. Canaway's novel. I've had my copy for decades and have reread it a number of times, just as I've seen the film several times. The movie is extremely faithful to the book, which is highly unusual I know. When I saw "Walkabout" and "The Earthling", I was reminded of "A Boy Ten Feet Tall".

I, too, saw it on television in the Seventies, more than 10 years after it was released, so I know for certain it was aired a number of times.
