I was dragged to it by my wife. And actually, it wasn't that bad. I'm not big on period pieces...or chick flicks but it really wasn't the latter. It was a great story, which was historically sound, and it was well acted by Natelie Portman (and not so much the other Boelyn sister). It won't win any awards, but it was a neat story. But it's not a "date" movie (if you know anything about history you know how it ends). Sorry to be so vague, I don't want to ruin the ending if you don't already know.
I'm glad you asked this question. I also would like to know. I cant wait for the Tudors to come back on. :)
Based on the review in the New York Times its boring and not as hot as the same story as told on the Tudors. The Tudors is back soon, according to my wife and daughter who can't wait.
I saw it the weekend it came out and it's really really good. I'm not insane about films about the past, really. But it was done really well and the actings so good, plus you brush up on history so that's a plus, totally good!
