when yanks say we should be grateful........sorry for what......
changing all history to make them the heroes......give me a break.......
300 was quite inaccurate
JFK
The Patriot
omar al mokhtar
dahmer. it was laughable. unless you knew the story of jefrey dahmer you cant possible get what the bloody film is about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love Braveheart but the thing that stuck out in my mind for that film is during the Battle of Stirling Bridge - there was no bridge in the film!! That is obviously inaccurate.
Apart from that it was pretty accurate.
Titanic had a HUGE mistake in it where all the boilers were lit!!! In reality the last boiler was never lit!!!!
The Greatest Story Ever Told
jodha akbar
U571.
A film about the american submarine which captured the enigma machine and helped to change the course of WW2.
Only in reality it was a British submarine which captured it. a small but rather important detail in my view.
braveheart! william wallace could never have had it off with the princess as she was only a very young child at the time! but then evita was historically incorrect too. che garvara was not lurking around the jungle in the same decade as ava paron
please excuse the spelling
hmm. Since it is one that ticks me off every time I watch it.. when it would otherwise have been an interesting movie..
Stay Alive.. I have done tons of research on Elizabeth Bathory over the years.. watching this movie was like driving needles through my eyes.. almost everything they said was completely made up.. She was such a fascinating person, and could EASILY be fit into a horror movie as she really was..why make it all up?.
another one that irked me was Marie Antionette.. I hated everything about it..
braveheart isnt exactly accurate
The Other Boleyn Girl - but then the book was totally inaccurate, so what chance did the film stand ??
And Elizabeth the Golden Age - as you might guess my passion is the Tudors and this film was ridiculous. Sir Walter Raleigh did NOT defeat the whole Armada single handed !!!!
brave heart and pearlharbour
It would be easier to say which film is most accurate, thanks to hollywood there are so many films to choose from!
The Other Boleyn girl is pretty far off the mark (I saw a preview)
As are both Elizabeth films
Braveheart, The Patriot, Gladiator... Any epic relating to historical events is ususlly wide of the mark because real life isnt really that interesting on film.
Jesus Christ Superstar
An inconvenient truth
Al Gore's being sued by the Founder of the Weather Channel over it's innacuracies.
Indiana Jones - WW1
Its portrays the Germans with flamethrowers and AK47's
LOL at that.
Apollo 13, The NASA director went from Cape Canavarl to Houston in 15 minutes in the movie. In actuallity I'd say that Starship Troopers was way off, I don't remember it happening that way at all.
Toy Story. It was fraught with inaccuracies.
Elizabeth, it played havoc with the actual time line of events in her early reign.
Still a great film though!
