Is there going to be a tv series for Star Wars (between episodes 3 and 4)?!

Question: Qwi Gon Jin(spelling?), wasnt he suppost to train Obi Wan as a ghost? (yoda told obi wan at the end of episode 3)

And I wonder if Yoda went straight to Degobah or if he still battled the sith after ep. 3.

Isnt there going to be a tv series that takes place between episodes 3 and 4 pretty soon?

What would be kewl if in the series (which is supposed to take place between Sith and A New Hope) they show Yoda trying all these cooky Wile E. Coyote schemes to kill the Emperor and failing!

That would be SO hysterical!

no there is not going to be a tv series, because making lots of CGI means u need alot of money.

Yes there is. It has not been given its official title yet, but it is expected to premiere in 2009. It will take place between episodes 3 and 4, but it is supposed to focus on minor characters rather than main characters. The main characters from the movies are supposed to make some guest/cameo appearances though.

EDIT: I just wanted to expand on tony's answer since he has some info about the series you're referring to confused with another one. The series that takes place between Ep. 3 and 4 will be a live action TV show. The one that he is referring to is the new "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" TV series (its not related to the first Clone Wars series) which will be CGI and is supposed to premiere with a feature film in theatres on Aug. 15th. You can find out more about the Clone Wars TV series here:

there is going to be an animated series which will be based between films 3 & 4, but it will not have any characters from the original films. This is due to be released in the autumn in cinemas in the states then on to tv.When in the uk i do not know. There will be,in a couple of years a television series with real actorsand the story will be based around the clone wars. This info i have given you is from the star wars magazine which had interviews with george lucas and rick mccallum.
