Why did the hogs attack Mason and the others but not Hannibal??!

Question: Fear excites them in their blood frenzy...cries of fear...and the scent the body gives off when people are afraid. Hannibal doesn't understand fear....makes no sudden movements...and thus presents no target for the hogs...who are attracted to the sounds of distress that already exist in the pen.
