Whats the name of this old kid scary type weird movie?!
Question: I can remember very little of it. I remember a boy running from a monster in an old house with a big staircase and the monster puts an eyeball on the boy's hand and the eye looks around. I know this sounds strange and I was very young when I saw it but its been bugging me to figure it out. Does anyone know the name of the movie. I think it may have been done in the 80's.

The Gate (1987)
IMDB synopsis:
Glen (Stephen Dorff) and his best fried, Terry (Louis Tripp), accidentally open a gate to Hell when a rotten tree is removed from the backyard of Glen's house. When his dog dies and a friend of Glen's sister, Alexandra (Christa Denton), buries the animal in the hole, demons from an ancient civilization are released, seeking two human sacrifices in order to dominate the world. Glen, Al and Terry, who are spending the weekend alone in the house, fight to save their lives and close the hole.
This definitely is the film you are remembering. I've seen it innumerable times and enjoy it as much as the first time I saw it. There is a sequel, which isn't as good:

I doubt it, but maybe the Labyrinth with Jennifer Connely and David Bowie.
