Why is Michael Bay the WORST director ever?!
Question: this guy screws up every film, Transformers was the worst thing he's done, it wasn't a Transformers movie, it was a 2-hour GMC, Nokia, Ebay commercial!! Racist jokes and statements, no plot, 1-dimensional characters, bad choice of actors for important roles, shakes the camera like a maniac, that's what he does to ALL his lousy films. I saw Transformers at the drive in. I totally agree that it sucked. However, I think that you need to know what to expect when you go to see this type of film. It was pretty obvious from the trailer that it was going to be special effects and showing off the new Camaro. Hollywood just needs to find some new movies to make. Quit remaking everything that has already been done and turning old tv shows into movies.

Ed Wood was the worst director ever. He was so bad that he now has a cult following and will be immortalized.
Rent " Plan 9 From Outer Space " and you will see what I mean. While watching it you have to keep reminding yourself that the director was not trying to be funny.
Michael Bay is characteristic of American directors (and viewers) who value style over substance! They don't care to tell good stories with interesting characters, it much easier to just put up a bunch of flashes of color, explosive sounds, and blow up the set! Who cares? Not the teens who give movie makers their BILLIONS of dollars a year! How much has a piece of drek like Transformer made? $250,000,000!
Transformers was good. as far as Bryan singer goes: X-men and superman also were great.
the only director who i can think really dropped the ball was sam raimi (spidey 1:good spidey 2: great spidey 3:crap) and whoever directed x-men 3
What about Disney's hiring and defending a known child molester to direct a movie about what else...a kid...or you haven't you seen the movie Powder? You know...the same director who goes on to direct a film about a monster predator hunting down a group of kids...or haven't you seen Jeepers Creepers 1 & 2?
If Disney does not care about children...and you can't if you are hiring known predators...and defending them...then the answer to your question comes clear.
Hollywood cares nothing about the people who pay their money to see a film...nor who they hire to direct them. The bottom line is all they care about...money in the bank...at our expense...in more ways than one.

Those are the names of his first films. And just to go one step farther...his last film is the cult film...Peaceful Warrior (2006) starring Nick Nolte...about a grizzled old dude who mentors a kid. Perhaps this will help shed light on the nature of the beast...that is hollywood. If Disney who makes their bread and butter off kids will defend a molester...what Hollywood studio would dream of firing Bay who brings them hundreds of millions of dollars with each film?
Look up Powder on Wikipedia and read the alleged controversy about Albert Salva the molester/director...who murdered the soul of a young boy....so he could get off...on the set... of one of his movies. Read it...and weep. You can't make this **** up...
