Has anyone seen Gone Baby Gone?!
Question: What did you think of the ending? Would have done what Casey Affleck's character did? Or would you have done what his girlfriend wanted him to do? Did he do the right thing?
My sisters and I saw this together and have been having arguments about it ever since. I think it's interesting how many different opinions on the matter people who are basically good people can have.

I really enjoyed that movie.
But it comes down to:
Did he do the right thing morally?
This I am not sure of, I guess it would all depend on the individual person. But if it were me and knowing the type of mother that the child had, I probably wouldn't have returned her...
Or.........
Did he do the right thing legally?
Yes I think he did.
I saw it last month. I enjoyed it. I think his character did the right thing.

Well the movie is based on a book. So it was fairly accurate.
to be honest though, I would have let the child stay with the older couple. As you can obviously tell the mother has no respect for her daughter's life.
It is a sad, and real movie. I enjoyed it.

I thought he should go along with his girlfriend and let Morgan Freeman leave with the child.....she would have been much better off! Her "mother" was pure trash, and the kid will have a miserable life with her. I was happy when his g/f dumped him for his stupid decision!
Yes, I have seen the movie. I believe that no has the right to take the law in their hand. She killed people. She was a killer even though she killed criminals. In addition, the cop shouldn't have done that. He breached his oath to his country and his duty. If everyone starts doing so then we will go back to the Wildwest. There will be anarchy then. We all should respect the law and abide by it. Accidents happen to everyone. It doesn't mean that we should grap a gun and start killing.
He should have done what his g/f wanted. I don't think he did the right thing.....I sure as fruit wouldn't want to have a parent like amy ryans character.
I liked the ending because it was THE ENDING of a boring movie. "Yes, this boring movie is finally over", I recall saying after the ending.
laws r laws, u can't just take a kid away..i mean look, u can adopt a kid..the kid's mom was crying, the police were searching and in terms of a more humane side, it's not like her mom abandoned her, she's not a good mom but this world isn't fair...some ppl have good parents while others don't....wht i'm saying is i would have done wht casey affleck did
