What is the difference between a musical and a film with music?!

Question: A musical is a movie or show that is consistently interspersed with singing numbers, typically by the characters, but occasionally by a narrator. Although, a movie with music isn't necessarily a musical. The music of a musical typically tells a story (like Hairspray), where as a music movie, the music is merely part of the story (like La Vie En Rose).

i don't know good question

a musical is where the characters sing and dance and stuff.
but all movies have music. if a movie didn't have any music in it at all it would be sooooooooo boring.

A musical is when the actors sing, (across the universe, moulin rouge, ect) a film with music..could be anything really..most films have music in them.
