Dune by David Lynch, full version available?!
Question: Does anybody know if you are able to buy the original David Lynch Dune film in it's entirety - I did see it once many years ago on ebay and on laserdisc. About six hours?
I know a directors cut is available, but there are still many hours missing.

Oh yes it is available in it's entirety,try visiting Amazon.com you may have to persist to get it though but you will!!

Well with some movies they release them, take them off the market and wait for a few years to release them again.. (simular to disney releases every 7 years).
But, if its a movie that they have made obsolete then the only way would be on Ebay or your local store that hires dvds :)
Ive not seen that movie around for a very long time, good luck in finding it.

Out of print although if you look at Amazon market place there seem to be 2 CD boxes available - Not too sure whether they are the 6 hour versions or not because there isn't any information.
I can remember seeing the full version on the Sci Fi channel about 10 or 11 years ago (it was around four and a half hours long actually, but lasted a total of five hours due to add breaks). I don't think it has ever been released on video or DVD though, so I greatly regret not having recorded it at the time.
I bought a DVD about 2 years ago, thinking that was it, but it actually turned out to be an unauthorised extended version (about 3 hours long) that Lynch had his name removed from
