Overall I'd say it's probably a good idea. A lot of details in the book tend to be dropped in the movie for the sake of time, but I do foresee one small problem. I'm not sure where they would cut the movies to make each stand strong as seperate movies (similar to the Lord of the Rings). However, I'm not the filmmaker, so I'm sure they have some idea of what they are going to do. Sounds good though, I'm glad to hear that they're taking a chance for the fans of the book.
