Which romance movie did you think was the saddest?!

Question: Love Story, Titanic, or The Notebook?

Answers: Love Story, Titanic, or The Notebook?

The Notebook. Though I cried a lot more when reading the novel than when seeing the movie.

the notebook made me cry

Casablanca

"Sunshine" by Norma Klein was the saddest love story I've ever read...and I've read all three that you listed.

The Notebook is my pick.

I say the one between the gardener and me.
we had a little thing going but my mom found out and fired him.

Without doubt Dr. Zhivago

I am a man and i have to admit that the note book made me cry

P.S dont tell my brother

Notebook. It makes me tear up a bit

the notebook made me bawl my eyes out!

Your killing me........OK, Fine Titanic. Yeah that's right I watch some chic flicks so what. I also like sleepless in Seattle. My favorite is you've got mail..............UUHhhh, is everybody going to see this ?

def.titanic...

divinelovers

Neither.

The Road Home blows all those pieces of garbage out of the water.

IF I had to chose one of the three... I'd say Titanic...

The Notebook

The notebook ...!

I believe that "Romeo & Juliet" (1968) is sadder than all of those put together. They are so young and passionately in love but have only one night together. The actors are perfectly matched~Leonard Whiting and Olivia Hussey~the first that are close to the ages of Romeo and Juliet in Shakespeare's play. The costuming, sets, music and cinematography are so breathtaking, especially Nino Rota's theme for the lovers.

We know from the first moment what will happen to them, so the story of these starcrossed lovers becomes so much sadder and quite bittersweet.

For me, this is the saddest romance film of all time. There is no competition. I've believed that for 40 years, in which I've seen many movies.

I would have to say, The Notebook.
