What's this fim? Hopefully an easy-ish one -Sci Fi?!


Question: Hi all, I'm trying to remember what film I'm thinking of, I believe it's Sci-fi and I realise it's a fairly common theme. The scene I can remember involves a few people, I think three. I believe an alien has just been killed and the main character is explaining that they won't hurt you if they think you're one of them, to this end rips out a gland from the alien and proceeds to cover the other two with it. I think the main character might not cover themselves as for some reason he/she doesn't need it, either 1/2 alien, a robot or just too damn tough. I was thinking Alien resurrection but I don't believe that happens in that film. I'm sure it'll make me slap my head if anyone gets it. I think I'll get it eventually just wondered if this rang any bells?

there is scene in the film mimic where there are 3-4 people trapped in a old train carriage with the creatures attacking them trying to get in...one creature gets in and they manage to kill it. they procede to smear the fluid from the creature all over the walls, windows etc and them on themselves so they wont attack them as they think there one of them.
but im sure this wouldnt be the only film that has used this so may well not be the film your looking for.

the main characters are human and i believe did cover themselves so your last description would suggest it isnt the right film.
