people are associating it with Apocalypto that's why i'm having 2nd thoughts about it... on the other hand some people are associating it to Ice Age.

it's the milder version of apocalypto. and it's certainly okay for kids to watch it as it almost has no PG scene.
people think it sucks cos the story line is lame and predictable. but personally, I think it's a good movie as long as you don't relate it with history (it's more a fiction).
On a scale of 1 - 10, I'd give it a 5. Some people might like, but others (your 11 year old brother for example) might get a little bored.
Content wise, it should be ok. HOWEVER, stay away from it. The movie is terrible.
I mean, when something gets a 08% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, there's a problem. It's also got a pretty low rating on IMDB and things are usually rated quite high there.
