Horror film - going out of my mind trying to remember it?!

Question: ok - i was very little when i saw this in the early 90's, but i thought maybe if i describe some of the scenes that i remember, it might make someone remember

There's a woman and she moves near a lake with her husband/boyfriend. There she encounters a weird man in a wheelchair and one day she wakes up in the middle of the night and goes to the bedroom window and sees this man across the road beckoning to her with his finger.

I think the boyfriend becomes possessed or something and then in the end she paddles away from the town in a little boat

OMG - i'm so sorry about this, but if you remember then please, please, please answer.

thanks in advance

I agree with the previous poster (except for the fact that the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre was made in the 70s, and "The New Generation was made in '94) but I want to add the possessed husband sounds like "Amityville Horror"!

It's like an amalgam of three movies! lol

The Rowing away in a Boat at the End sounds like "Friday the Thirteenth"

But the Crazy WheelChair guy sounds like the original "Texas Chainsaw Masacare"

These were both made in the 90's I think lol. Hope I helped.
