Oh yeah! He's kind of hard to forget considering how long he's been around and how much work he's actually done! He's about 75 now and still working well! He's played many popular characters for decades. He was indeed Father Ralph de Bricassart in The Thornbirds....and someone mentioned Shogun earlier which I loved too. It is time for a repeat of both these mini-series! He's always was and still is a very good looking man. Shame for us ladies that he's gay...like so many of the really good looking ones! But I'd still believe him as a romantic male lead.

Yes, I remember the original miniseries being on TV when I was 6. My mother wanted me to kiss the priest at our church and I started freaking out and she had to explain that we had watched Thorn Birds.
