I went to the site to check it out and I didn't get any pop-up ads at all. Everything seemed to work fine for me, although I couldn't get the player to play full screen either.
I would recommend a pop-up blocker. Do you use Internet Explorer? If you do, you might want to try switching to Firefox, as it has pretty good ad blockers built in. Or just buy some anti-virus software that has ad blockers in it. I know Symantec does.
