A movies question?!

Question: In the prison movie "Escape from Alctraz" starring Clint Eastwood, did Frank Morris and his two mates really escape to the main land by swimming through that cold sea or did they drown?
And if they did made it how come they were never caught again?
And if they drowned were their bodies ever found?

The legend that is Clint Eastwood portrayed a guy with a superior IQ. As others have said no evidence either way supports if they did or not. The temperature of the sea would render crap pretty quickly and of course the tides would sweep them off course. However they did state that the evening had had favourable conditions which gave them a better chance than normal...However as in the film the quote from Mark Twain was that "The coldest winter he ever spent, was a summer in San Fransico".......sounds real cold...but then Twain was a Sourthern gentleman???

In reallife!no one ever escaped and survived from Alcatraz! The bodies probably got caught on some underwater obstacle!

All the evidence is they drowned , if any of them had survived then it would have been
discovered by now.
No bodies were ever found but it's presumed
the sunk in the bay.

No one knows what happened to them. Their bodies were never found, so they either drowned or they successfully escaped. A few years ago someone proved that it was possible (though extremely difficult) to get from Alcatraz on a raft.

They escaped off the island but no bodies ever found, reported sightings of them all over the US and Mexico led to nothing.

No one knows..... And if anyone does know, it will be like the JFK theories... they will only come to light when no one can do anything about it....

They did a thing on Mythbusters about that... It could have gone either way,.

the movie tries to make it seem ambiguous, but nobody thinks those guys actually survived. it just would have been too downbeat to end the movie that way.

Hi as far as i know yes they did make it no bodies were found so they are say that they did make it thats why they closed the prison does this help you.
