Bonnie and Clyde?!

Question: What was the cultural significance of the 1960's film Bonnie and Clyde? Like I know about the whole more violence then previously shown in films, and how people were outraged that it glamorized criminals, and such. But does anyone know anything else? Also, I have seen the movie..So please don't try to tell me stupid things...Lol. Thanks!

i think it was a sign of the times, they were an icon of their time period (early 1930's), after gang crime became popular and prohibition and the depression. People had to look out for themselves because the govt wasnt doing it. by any means necessary. Then the economy got itself back together and brought the squeaky clean American image back by the 1950's. but it was rough back then in America.

I think something that makes it more intruiging is that it is based on true events and a real criminal couple.
