Does anyone else like this movie?!
Question: Who else likes Harry Potter? I was basically raised on the books. And when the movies started to come out I was so happy. But the movies did no justice at all to the books. They're good for what they are but just not like the books at all. Who else agrees with me?

Personally, I like the books, kinda sorta, but I think the movies are phenomenal. Don't tell me that I hate reading or anything, because I love to read, but the books are a little above average, but the movies are just so fun to watch.
I realize they don't put every single meticulous fanboy/girl detail into every movie, but if you want that, the movie would have to be in the range of ~8 hours.
The special effects are great, to say the least, but they really don't spend any time developing the characters, so if you haven't read the books, you're not going to like the movies, imo.
Yea, not bashing the books, but they're not that amazing like everyone says. I guess it makes 13-year-olds feel good because they read a 500+ page book, even though it's double spaced and font size 15. Basically, I'd rather read Huckleberry Finn, or Moby Dick any day of the week.
I enjoyed the first one quiet a bit. Been less satisfied with the rest.
I haven't read the books, it's just that 2, 3, and 4 have been pretty doomy and gloomy.

Well mostly all movies that are remakes of t
he books never really measure up to the novels. Or it necessarily wont fulfill a fan's [of the book] fulfillment.
Take "the notebook" for instance.
"Secret window", some Stephen King books...
Their good movies with good actors but its jst not the same...They miss out on things.
The first and second were very good but I didn't think that the third and fourth did justice to the books. The movies have very great effects but each new one seems to get bleaker and bleaker
harry potter irritates me, you couldnt pay me to go see those stupid movies
