These were on the major networks.

Many movies still are being made for several networks, including Lifetime and the Sci Fi Channel. An enormous number of TV movies still are out there, just not from the ABC/NBC/CBS block we were accustomed to. More films are being made for networks than ever before.

Some of the ones that are considered of higher quality are released to European audiences. "Black Ice", starring Michael Nouri, is just one of those. Also, many go straight to video since not everyone has access to networks that are commissioning them. So, the TV movie is stronger than ever and often draw some big-name actors and actresses for what amounts to B-movies at times.

However, I've seen TV movies that definitely challenge what's being shown in the theaters! I know they leave a mark because I've answered a lot of questions about them at Y!A.

There still are sometimes. I think they were squeezed out by the popularity of regular shows, and the networks get repeat viewers, because people want to keep up with what is happening on those shows.

i used to love those. the ones of lifetime were the best and they all had the same kind of names too huh? like "ugly betrayal" and "seductive murder" "lies my mother told me" "strange deciet" and stuff like that.
