Alison wants to live alone and finds a furnished apartment. When she sees a strange-looking man at the window of an apartment on the top floor, she is told that he is Father Francis Matthew Halloran, a blind priest who lives alone, supported by the church. NOTE: I didn't even have to research before I answered because I've read the novel a number of times and also have watched the film at least 10 times. AND, I clearly recall the taglines used! I haven't seen the film for nearly 30 years, but I remember what a shocker it was. I have a feeling that most of those scares would hold up. I'd love to see it again. What an amazing cast it has!
