Rights to the Artemis Foul books have been purchased by a Hollywood studio, but there is no movie in development yet.
As for the Alex Rider series, it came to a halt after "Storm Rider" flopped at the box office. There are no plans for a sequel.
Are they making an Artemis Fowl movie? I loved those books!
