...I've always been pretty partial to her performance in "Bound", as directed by the Washawski Brothers, who also did the 'Matrix' trilogy, as well as the upcoming live-action rendition of 'Speed Racer'...
...appealing for not only for her very sexy performance as Corky, the handi-woman, who cautiously latches onto an opportunity of a lifetime; when introduced, her character, which had seen much harder times, seems to be sort of 'waiting in weeds', so to speak...a strong-willed and determined woman, almost resigning herself to her present situation, yet at the same time, always on the alert for that one chance to get to the top...and then some. Least to say, when the finaicial opportunity is laid before her, by way of her newly acquired relationship with Jennifer Tilly's sexpot character, she is of course, naturally quite cautious (...funny how relationships like that can sometimes interfere, in that manner; fortunately, this was not to be the case), but definitely sees this as the opportunity she was waiting for...
...and of course, there's no denying the oh-so steamy chemistry between her, and Jennifer Tilly (...haven't seen 'steam' like that, since Mickey O'Roarke and Kim Bansinger in "9 1/2 Weeks", or William Hurt and Kathleen Turner, in "Body Heat"); least to day, I would be very quick to entertain the notion, of both of them working together, once again...
...there's no denying that her performance in "Showgirls" wasn't just as 'steamy'; however, I thought that that so-called 'steaminess' was overly exploitive in thet case of this film, which of course, reflects the filmmaking style of director/producer Paul Verhoeven....
too obnoxious for me ... and all the roles she is remembered for are sex related (showgirls, bound...)
Showgirls I suppose, because it shows more of her than any movie in which I have seen her.
