Would Drive-In Movies ever make a comeback?!

Question: I think they would be pretty popular, especially during the summer, don't you agree. They were fun back in the day, and i really think people are missing out on how fun it is to go to drive in movies.

I think it would be pretty cool... I'm only 20 but I grew up going to one back in New Hampshire every summer when we went up to the lake. There are only 2 left in the state and we would go to a few movies every summer, we'd bring the pick up truck, put a ton of blankets and pillows in the bed, open the windows and crank up the radio and we'd watch the movies under the stars. I loved those nights!!!

I live in Los Angeles now and a few weeks ago I was driving down to Anaheim and I passed a drive in! I have driven down there a ton of times but I never noticed it there before. My sister and I were talking about bringing our girls to see a movie there once the weather gets a little nicer!

I wish they would that would be so cool. Plus i've only gotten to see one!

there's a few around..like one in jersey, not high profile though but i definitely agree with you.

I agree.I enjoyed them as well.I have many fond memories of going with mom and having a little lunch I'd pack for us.I don't know why they fell out of popularity.I really liked them, and you had more comfortable sitting there than in the theater, and no talking people to bother you in the comfort of your car.The one around here closed nearly 20 yrs.ago

That day has passed.

My husband and I go to the drive in every summer, even more than a walk in theater. It's a lot more fun and less expensive!

I think it would be cool, but I doubt it because there is probably not much profit margin for anyone to do it. By the way, what is on your face?

I love going to the drive in. They have one in my area and its so much more income friendly. I can see two movies for about 8 bucks. I like to ask questions and in boring parts talk so i'm free to do it without being worried about someone getting irritated. Not to mention you're in the comfort of your own car and don't have to sit next to a stranger. I rarely go to movie theaters. they are just to freaking expensive (for me)

We have one down here in Beaufort, SC and the place is always packed. There is a regular theater down the road but why pay $8 a person when it's $10 for a car load? I love our drive in and we fight for it to stay open around here.

In my area there is still one that stays open from spring to early fall.. it's even one with multiple screens.. I remember at one point the were on the verge of closing.. and every year since they've been busier and busier..

I live in Tooele Utah and we have had a Drive in Theater for atleast 25 years and it is still up and running. Love the place
