Coen Brother films?!

Question: Okay here it your chance to list them in order from least favorite to most favorite. I just simple love the way these guys make movies. So here is my list and my whys lol....

Lady Killers - Good try but just not great

Intolerable Cruelty - Wonderful

Fargo - WOW!

Raising Arizona - One of the funniest films ever!

Big Lebowski - Brilliant

Hudsucker Proxy - Very under appreicated film love it!

O'Brother Where Art Thou - Amazing classic Coen

Barton Fink - Still find new stuff every viewing love this movie

Man Who Wasn't There - One of the best B&W films ever

Blood Simple - Film Noir at its best

No Country For Old Men - Just got it and seen it 4 times.
Anton is one of the scariest villians ever in history! Just a great film from start to finish!

Millers' Crossing - A nearly perfect film. I have seen this film so many times I know it by heart. If it was possible to wear out a DVD I would have. Perfection truly the Coens' best effort!!

thanks for listing 'em all to make this easier! i'm in total agreement with you on "miller's crossing" as it is about as close to perfection as any film ever made.
"lady killers" gets my vote for their weakest film. it's almost completely uninteresting.
there's a whole tier of coen films which i like, but can't make much of a case for to non-fans: "intolerable cruelty" "the man who wasn't there" and "the hudsucker proxy" would all fall under that category. there are wonderful things in all of them, but i don't feel they are totally successful.
then there's the classic or near classic list, which would include "blood simple" "barton fink" "the big lebowski" "raising arizona" "fargo" and "o brother where art thou" not much i can say about them other than the fact that it's pretty amazing they could all be as consistently terrific as they are AND all be from the same creative minds.
finally, i was not that impressed by "no country for old men" as i thought a lot of it just reminded me of things they've already done before like "blood simple", i also found the conclusion somewhat frustrating, but i plan to see it again now that it's on dvd.
thanks for a fun post.
