I love this movie, even though it was emotionally tormenting and left me drowned in my own tears by the end. I think Sam was rightfully awarded custody of Lucy because I believe everyone, no matter how many mental problems you have, are capable to love, and that's one of the main things that strikes me about this movie. The qualities you need to be a parent aren't so much about how smart you are, or how knowledgeable in a particular category or subject. All you need to be a good parent is love, patience, and a sense of understanding. Even though Sam didn't sometimes have the patience or the ability to understand certain things, he tried SO hard and loved Lucy so much, and in the end, I think that's really the only thing that matters.
I though it was a very touching movie, but not really realistic. The acting was fabulous and that is what really made the movie work. I am glad he got Lucy back, but like I said, in real life, it most likely wouldn't have turned out the same way. But it was a good movie.
It was okay. I laughed, I cried, I was informed. It wasn't very realistic though.
The ending was ok. That kid Dakota was perfect for the movie. The soundtrack was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
did he get lucy back? i thought she went with the foster parents and he got to visit her and stuff. i thought the movie was very good. very emotional.
Omg i loved this movie it was the best and i think that he should get lucky back, thats all he got left. this is movie is the best and i can watch it so many times cuz its so good i love it
