Has anyone seen the movies REDS with jack nicholson and directed by warren beatt!

Question: we had to watch this movie for a class and then write a paper about it. Some of the questions that we have to answer are:

1. what story is the director trying to tell and how effective is it?

2. what are some of the most important scenes in the directors story and are there any scenes that stand out?

3. Would you say that the storyline and the representations of the main characters feel accurate or are they too different?

4. what is one thing that you that you learned from this movie?

If anyone can help I would really appreciate it. =]

Oh, man, that movie was pretty good and so rare!
I can't believe you didn't like it (well, many people don't like it, but anyway...)
1.The director was trying to tell the story of John "Jack" Reed's life story and how his tries to be involved with the revolution of communism in Russia

2.The most important scenes were the scene where Louise Bryant was in the rail station and waiting for John Reed to come back and the scene where John Reed goes to Russia and talks to the real 'reds'.
The scene in the end was also important. (The death of John Reed)

3.They are pretty accurate as far as I know, but I'm not an expert on John Reed and the other characters, so who knows if this movie depicts their lives 100% or not...

4.John Reed was involved in the communism revolution in Russia and he died of an illness.
Just put in Typhus. I don't know exactly what killed him in the movie (John Reed did suffer kidney failure near the end...) but in real life, John Reed died of spotted typhus.

The scenes where they spoke to the real "reds' was very interesting.

Keep in mind that John Reed died of typhus (bet you didn't know that)
