The Jerk - without a doubt, it's the first film I saw of his - The Man with 2 Brains comes a real close 2nd place though - But if I had to choose my favourite ever peice of Steve Martin's work it's the Live concert with The Absent-Minded Waiter sketch at the start - stopped watching him after parenthood though
