Well I tend to stay away from "gory disturbing" movies, you know the ones with mutant inbred freaks.. I like films that disturb you on a different level. The most disturbing film like that I have ever watched is Requiem for a Dream, I can watch it over and over again and it disturbs me every time, but it is so GOOD at the same time. Anyway it may not be your idea of disturbing but it is my idea of truly disturbing.
PS I agree with the above poster, A Clockwork Orange is disturbing too but so damn good, Love that movie one of my faves of all time. Eggie weggs and lumptics of toast.. ha ha

I would just like to add, you can watch a make believe movie, with make believe monsters, to me not scary and forgettable.
Disturbing to me, is when a young girl goes out for her birthday gets kidnapped, drug to the woods and tortured and raped for days then shot in the back of the head and the whole time she is there begging to go home to her mom she iis right across the road from her house. You can not get much more disturbing then this.

Freeway. It was Reese Witherspoon's first movie. Keifer Sutherland played some twacked out freak who tries to kill her then rape her. (yes, in that order) And her life is just to twacked out to begin with. I hate it. It made me sick for weeks.
Pink Flamingos - John Waters, Devine.... It's been about ten years since I last watched it but it's definitely up there as far as "disturbed" goes......
