yes batman is definitely a darker person than superman. Lets exam the facts here. Batman watch live and uncut the death of his parents. He had to set in court and watch the man convicted on trial go threw his lies and deceit to stay out of jail or at least try to. Of course seeing a loved one is going to mess with your head when your young, your gonna plot the million ways to get revenge on this person without ever having to pay the price yourself. Luck would have it as he aged and trained he saw a better way to use his drive than to murder, instead he turned to the good side and used his skill to bring justice to all who needed it. superman on the other hand was raised on a farm with values that the world could use more of. Such as decency to your fellow man and owning up to your own mistakes. No doubt superman and batman fight on the same side just in different ways. it would be easy to see how if superman had been raised by parents with no values he could have become the king of the planet. Or as its told in some else world story's his fate could have been changed by a flat tire or a different set of parents with different ideas and values.

if you saw your parents killed ....you`d have dark out look on life....but on the main it is a very gothic sort of story.....in the way he deal with things
grittier but not tougher..superman is like invincible. Happy childhood? he lost not only his parents but his whole planet to a nuclear catastrophe, was poor (bruce wayne was rich), and had absolutely no game(clark kent...kinda a looser).
Batman is not tougher by any stretch of the imagination. Remember, Batman has no superpowers, he just has cool toys. Yes, Batman is a much darker character (if we can forget about the TV show and early movies).

I'm not so sure. Superman must have abandonment issues having been launched into space by his first parents. Why didn't they join him in the rescue pod away from Krypton? It must have been scary for a baby.
Also he is constantly knocked back by Lois Lane. That might make him feel pretty bad - a super hero who cannot pull?
Batman is my favourtie super hero for one main reason. Unlike other super heros such as superman and spiderman, batman is just a guy, riddled by probelms and engrossed by revengne. But he is still..just as gud, if not better then any of the other super heroes who actually obtain super hero powers. There fore...if batman can live up the the super hero standard without any powers then he is in ways tougher and clearly a much darker charcter then superman. Superman is a very simple guy.

Oh, definitely. I've always liked Batman better than Superman because Batman had to acquire his talents, whereas Superman was born with his. Batman also has a lot of burden to deal with, including the death of his parents.

superman is invinsible...batman isnt but looks much cooler with his dark out fit....but both are superhero with tight slax and an underwear outside...hehe......after watching justice league i think batmans character is more mystic,very responsible...superman too but then he cannot be killed(kryptonite just weakens him) so thrill of hero in danger is lost sometime
