...the film, in which you are talking about, is INDEED called "The Kingdom"; it was a 1994 Danish T.V. mini-series, which was re-editied into a four-hour-plus feature film, when it was imported into the U.S.; in 1997, a second part, called "The Kingdom II", was released, and according to director/producer Lars Von Trier, there is a third part being considered....
...I remember seeing the film, soon after it was released in the States, and I have to candidly admit that it was one of the most uncomfortably creepy films, that I'd seen in a long while. I mean, the goosebumps were raised about a foot, and I had to keep checking the skin on my arm, as it felt like something was moving beneath.....
