The battle scenes were great; I could have done without some of the side story.

soo good! the producers did a great job outlining the whole story and the tragedy that happened in hawaii. i think its worth watching because most historical movies are boring!!!

I thought it was an amazing movie.
The first time I watched it, I found it thrilling, emotional and heart wrenching, when Josh Hartnett dies :(
Personally that was enough to make me cry for the rest of the movie aha :)
I thought every part of it was well presented, though, yeah typical female, I would have preferred more topless Josh ;)
I appreciated it showing the details of the Doolittle raid, one of America's proudest moments.
Didn't care at all for the love-story aspect of the movie.

It went something like this:
boring...boring...boring...GREAT Action, human stories, heartwrenching...boring...boring...wow we need something to tie this up...insert Hollywood ending to human story.
The producers tried so hard to insert a love story for a human element into a story that was already made for them. Overall I think it is a fine movie, but they would have been better off expanding into a more ensemble story than trying to insert Titanic into Pearl Harbor
