17 but no ID to get into rated R movie?!
Question: I just recently turned 17, and there are some rated R movies I plan on seeing in the near future. But, I have no ID or license to prove my age. However, I do have my driving permit, which has my birth date, name, signature, etc., and I have my school ID which has my picture. Would that be enough to let me in? Or does it just depend on the place?

If your school ID has your birthday and pic that's enough to get you in AND get you a student discount. Or you can go to the DMV (bleh... i know) and get a non-lisence ID. Those actually come in really handy.

Just try look older. :)
It all depends on the theatre and the employee. If you can produce a permit with your age, AND a school ID with the same picture, that should be more than enough.
