Pazuzu is correct. He contacted the girl using the name Captain Howdy.

From IMDB quotes:
Father Damien Karras: I think it might be helpful if I gave you some background on the different personalities Regan has manifested. So far, I'd say there seem to be three. She's convinced...
Father Merrin: There is only one.

The demon identifies himself by saying something like "We are Legion" or insinuating that there are a number of entities possessing Regan. However, Father Merrin negates that statement because he knows his adversary. Remember: When the film opens, Merrin is at an archaeological dig, where a statue of Pazuzu is unearthed. The image of that statue shows up during the exorcism. (Legion does appear in the New Testament through a possessed man.) Later, Pazuzu does claim that he is the Devil, too.

From IMDB:
Among the subliminal photos inserted throughout the film are: when Chris MacNeil comes home and finds the kitchen lights flickering, a small demon/devil face is superimposed on the overhead exhaust fan above the stove; seconds later, just before Chris enters her daughter's room, an image of the face of the statue of Pazuzu appears on the door as it is opened; then, when Chris leaves the room, an image of the entire statue slowly becomes visible just to the left of the doorway, remains briefly, then fades away again. So, Pazuzu actually makes three appearances.

From IMDB:
Regan is possessed by a demon called Pazuzu. He is considered by some to be a real demon and is part of Middle Eastern folklore/myth. The demon states that it is Satan, which is a lie. This is common in cases considered to be demonic possession. This is also clarified in the sequels.

Captain Howdy... twas what Regan called him... but I am near sure it's Pazuzu

legion. and there was more than one demon but he was the most powerful of them
