Do you agree with me that Superman Returns should be a sequel and not a prequel?!
Question: New costume usually means a sequel and not a prequel. Anybody with a common sense knows that. And pretending II and III don't exist is stupid. I think he basically screw up the whole storyline of all four movies as well as the franchise. I will not watch another Superman movie ever again thanks to him.

I'm more concerned about Superman having a son, ruining the franchise!
Its a new franchise, not based at all on the old movies. It is the exact same as the Batman Begins arc. It is a new arc based on the original story. The old movie sequels dont matter nor does the original.
And why do a sequel to a movie that came out 30 years ago? The point is it is a reenvisioning on the Superman comics, not Chris Reeves character from the 70s.
I would just hope that they fire the writer from Returns
and get Jeff Loeb to write the next film.
It's really a sequel from Superman 2. Not a sequel from Superman 3 and 4. Actually 3 and 4 are the ones who screw the story. I think Bryan Singer did a good job although I prefer Brett Ratner. Look what he has done with X-Men 3. It's much better than the other X-Men Movies.
